Discipleship

Surveys indicate that only about 5 percent of church members are willing to share their faith with other people. If, in fact, this is true, the cause must be found and corrected.

Any professing Christian unwilling to share his faith is not a disciple of Christ. A disciple designs and structures his thinking and behavior exactly like the teacher. If only 5 percent are willing to share their faith, this means that 96 percent of church members are not disciples.

After nearly thirty years of teaching and using highly advertised and very expensive evangelism programs, disciples are not being made.

When Jesus was calling His first disciples He stated in Matt. 4:19: "Follow Me (become disciples) and I will Make you (fruitful) fishers of men," Also in John 15:8, Jesus said; "Herein is My Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be My disciples."

If disciples are going to make disciples, they must redesign and restructure their thinking and behavior and become fruitful fishers of men.
