• THE TRUTH IS LIKE A BIG-MAC
(Part 4)
• THE CHURCH IS LIKE MCDONALDS
• THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS LIKE:
• Introduction
• We have a responsibility to teach others about Jesus and His church.
• We have seen how Jesus used parables to explain spiritual things in
ways people could understand.
• We have seen some comparisons of the truth with a BigMac.
• We have seen some comparisons of the church with the organization known
as McDonalds.
• Now, let us notice how Jesus described His kingdom.
• The Kingdom Is At Hand
• Close, nearby, arriving shortly, within reach.
• Matthew 3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
• Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent:
for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
• Let us look at the verses (In Matthew) with the word “Kingdom”

of heaven.
• Matthew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness'
sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
• Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments,
and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven:
but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the
kingdom of heaven.
• Matthew 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall
exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter
into the kingdom of heaven.
• Matthew 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in
heaven.

of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
• Matthew 13:24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom
of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
• Matthew 13:31 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom
of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in
his field:
• Matthew 13:33 Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven
is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal,
till the whole was leavened.

in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof
goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
• Matthew 13:45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man,
seeking goodly pearls:
• Matthew 13:47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that
was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
• Matthew 13:52 Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is
instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder,
which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever
thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
• Matthew 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted,

king, which would take account of his servants.

mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and
there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's
sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.
• Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them

householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his
vineyard.
• Matthew 22:2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which
made a marriage for his son,
• Matthew 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for
ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves,
neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.
• Matthew 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins,
which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
• Matthew 25:14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into
a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
• CONCLUSION
• The Kingdom is spiritual.
• There is no way to describe something nobody has ever seen.
• So we are given word pictures and descriptions.
• We need to try to understand the spiritual application.
• Are you spiritually minded to receive this instruction?
