A.The Intellectuals dismiss sin with a wave of the hand; But God recognizes it, and He holds humanity accountable - Eze 18:20.
B.Sin is personal transgression of Gods law - 1Jn 3:4; cf Jas 4:17.
C.The CERTAIN result of Adams sin: Physical death comes swiftly, and without respect of persons - Rom 5:12 Jas 4:14; Ecc 9:2.
D.And the CERTAIN result of our own sin: Spiritual death; Again, there is no respect of persons - 2Th 1:7-9.
A.There is no reason for anyone not to know that justice demands (and reveals) a day of final reckoning - Jn 5:28-29; Rom 14:10-12.
B.The guilty and the wicked may escape their dues here (Ecc 7:15; 8:11-12); BUT a conclusion is coming - Rom 2:5-9.
C.The Unchanging Word will be The Standard - Jn 12:48; Rev 20:12.
D.Thus there is the certainty of exposure - Num 32:23; Ecc 12:14.
E.Are you and I ready for that day to come? - 2Pe 3:10-14.
F.The appointment is certain; We will not call and change the appointment -- Not postpone / cancel / or miss this one - TEXT.
3.CHRIST DIED THAT WE MIGHT LIVE - VERSE 28a.
A.The Father paid the price by giving His Only Son - 1Th 5:9-10.
B.The Son gave Himself - Isa 53:5; Rom 5:6.
C.Because He thus justified us, He arose - Rom 4:25 - 5:2.
D.Then commissioned His ambassadors to preach the Good News to all the world - Mk 16:15-16; 2Co 5:19-21.
E.If we are right with God, we can look forward to the 4th CERTAINTY:
A.History has an appointed end - 2Pe 3:10; Ac 17:31.
B.When -- We do not know; But we know it is CERTAIN - Ac 1:9.
C.To unbelievers and to the disobedient, His Return provides no com-fort, but holds forth only eternal anguish - 2Th 1:8-9.
D.But for believers, there is held before us an indescribable HOPE, which results in changed lifestyles - Tit 2:11-14.
1.Not very many things in life we can depend on, but rest assured that God is faithful to His Word; So In view of the insecurity of this physical existence, we should take the Lord into account in all our plans.
a.Death is CERTAIN -- Are you prepared?
b.Judgment is CERTAIN -- You and I will be there!
c.Salvation is CERTAIN -- Have you benefited by His death?
d.His coming is CERTAIN -- Are you ready if He should come today?
2.If you have been sobered: Believe Gods Revealed Word, and obey the plain simple Gospel - H / B / R / C / B / F.
DEATH: Soon; It Is For All
JUDGMENT: Definite; Ready?
CHRIST: Love; A Commission
