SOME THINGS WE ALL HAVE IN COMMON:
Jude 3; Acts 2:44,45; 4:32.

INTRO:

1. The word "common", as we will use it in our study, means: "belonging to several standing in contrast to one's own." "Ordinary, belonging to the generality, as distinct from what is peculiar to the few." "E. Pluribus Unum."

2. So, we will be dealing with that which will be the lot of us all.

I. WE ALL HAVE A COMMON AFFLICTION: -- SIN. Rom. 3:23; 1 Jno. 1:8-10.

II. THERE IS A COMMON REMEDY FOR US ALL: -- Jno. 14:6; Eph. 2:11-22; Jno. 8:24; Heb. 11:6; Lk. 13:3,5; 2 Pet. 3:9; Acts 22:16; 8:18-24.

III. THERE IS A COMMON SYSTEM OF FAITH THAT WE MUST ALL ADHERE TO: Titus 1:4; Eph. 4:5; Jude 3.

IV. WE ALL HAVE COMMON REQUIREMENTS ACCORDING TO OUR SEVERAL ABILITY: Matt. 25:14-30.

V. WE ALL HAVE A COMMON RULE TO FOLLOW IN THE USE OF OUR TALENTS: Phil. 3:15,16; 2 Tim. 2:15; 1 Pet. 2:1,2.

VI. WE ARE TO HAVE A COMMON LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER AND FOR ALL OUR FELLOWMEN: Rom. 12:9-21.

VII. WE WILL ALL BE FACED WITH COMMON TEMPTATIONS: 1 Cor. 10:1-13.

VIII. WE ALL HAVE A COMMON GOAL THAT WE ARE REACHING FOR: OUR SALVATION: Phil. 3:1-16; Jude 3; Titus 2:11-14.

IX. EACH OF US WILL LEAVE THIS LIFE BY A COMMON EXIT: DEATH: Heb. 9: 27; Eccl. 12:1-7.

X. AND WE WILL ALL STAND BEFORE A COMMON JUDGE, ON A COMMON JUDGMENT DAY, AND BE JUDGED FROM A COMMON BOOK: 2 Cor 5:10; Jno. 5:28,29; 12:48; Rev. 20:11-15.

CONCLUSION:

1. Are we thinking that we are different from everybody else and that God owes us some special attention and mercy because of who we are?

2. If that is what we are thinking, we need to realize that God is no respector of persons. Acts 10;34,35.
