• Consider Your Ways
• Haggai 1:5 “Now therefore, thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘consider your ways’!”

• Consider what is really important
• Deuteronomy 32:7 “Remember the days of old, Consider the years of many generations. Ask your father, and he will show you; Your elders, and they will tell you:
• Try to figure out what is going on, and has been going on since the beginning.
• Deuteronomy 32:29 “Oh, that they were wise, that they understood this, That they would consider their latter end!”
• Think before you speak, act, move, do anything.
• Ask yourself, would God be pleased?
• See ahead to the consequences of your actions.

• Consider what should be done
• Judges 18:14 “Then the five men who had gone to spy out the country of Laish answered and said to their brethren, "Do you know that there are in these houses an ephod, household idols, a carved image, and a molded image? Now therefore, consider what you should do."
• Think about this, and remember what the Law teaches. What should happen to those who transgress God’s laws in this way?
• Judges 19:30 “And so it was that all who saw it said, "No such deed has been done or seen from the day that the children of Israel came up from the land of Egypt until this day. Consider it, confer, and speak up!"
• We never thought that someone would actually break God’s laws in this manner.
• So we now have a duty to God, whether it is distasteful or unpleasant, we must do it.

• Consider what God has done for you.
• 1 Samuel 12:24 "Only fear the LORD, and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you.”
• When we sit down and think about all our blessings, the temporal nature of things on this earth pale in comparison.
• And if He has blessed us, should we not honor Him?

• Consider if there is a motive
• 2 Kings 5:7 And it happened, when the king of Israel read the letter, that he tore his clothes and said, "Am I God, to kill and make alive, that this man sends a man to me to heal him of his leprosy? Therefore please consider, and see how he seeks a quarrel with me.“
• Trying to figure out if there is a motive behind the King of Aram’s request concerning Naaman the leper.
• Did not consider maybe the chain of command?

• Consider GOD
• Job 11:11 For He knows deceitful men; He sees wickedness also. Will He not then consider it?
• Job 23:15 Therefore I am terrified at His presence; When I consider this, I am afraid of Him.
• Job 34:27 “Because they turned back from Him, And would not consider any of His ways,”
• Job 37:14 "Listen to this, O Job; Stand still and consider the wondrous works of God.
• Consider my situation Oh God
• Psalm 9:13 “Have mercy on me, O LORD! Consider my trouble from those who hate me, You who lift me up from the gates of death,”
• Psalm 13:3 “Consider and hear me, O LORD my God; Enlighten my eyes, Lest I sleep the sleep of death;”
• Psalm 25:19 “Consider my enemies, for they are many; And they hate me with cruel hatred.”

• Consider the consequences
• Psalm 50:22 "Now consider this, you who forget God, Lest I tear you in pieces, And there be none to deliver:”
• Psalm 64:9 “All men shall fear, And shall declare the work of God; For they shall wisely consider His doing.”
• Yeah! In an ideal world.

• Consider the results of actions
• Proverbs 6:6 “Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise,”
• See if you can learn a few things from nature.

• Consider Your Ways
• Proverbs 23:1 “When you sit down to eat with a ruler, Consider carefully what is before you;”
• Open mouth, insert foot? Could be your last anything you do.
• Proverbs 24:12 “If you say, "Surely we did not know this," Does not He who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, does He not know it? And will He not render to each man according to his deeds?”
• Proverbs 28:22 “A man with an evil eye hastens after riches, And does not consider that poverty will come upon him.”

• Consider what God has done
• Isaiah 1:3 “The ox knows its owner And the donkey its master's crib; But Israel does not know, My people do not consider."
• Isaiah 5:12 “The harp and the strings, The tambourine and flute, And wine are in their feasts; But they do not regard the work of the LORD, Nor consider the operation of His hands.”

• Consider that God is watching
• Hosea 7:2 “They do not consider in their hearts That I remember all their wickedness; Now their own deeds have surrounded them; They are before My face.”
• People today do not even think about God being everywhere, seeing and knowing everything they do.
• They do not care.

• Conclusion
• These are about half the passages in the Old Testament that uses this word.
• The Hebrew words from which is translated “consider” is actually used about 1400 times in the scriptures.
• There are many passages in the New Testament that use the words translated “consider”.
• Now, consider your ways, and do something about them.
