God's Watchman
(Ezek.3:1-21).
I. WHY A WATCHMAN?
A. Some today do not want BROTHERHOOD WATCHDOGS.
B. However, there is always a need to warn others about sin, no matter who they are or where they are.
II. WHAT IS A WATCHMAN?
A. His Preparation -- Saturated, Full of God's Word (vv.1-3).
B. His Character -- Hard, Bold, Courageous (vv.8-9), and Personally Caring, Concerned, Compassionate (v.15).
C. His Message -- God's Word Only (vv.10-11).
D. His Work -- Warning from God (vv.16-17).
E. His Audience -- Wicked (vv.18-19), and Righteous (vv.20-21).
F. His Motivation -- Divine Command (vv.4-7; cf.2:1ff), and Personal Judgment (vv.18b,19b,20b,21b).
G. His Goal -- Save the Lost, Obey God (vv.18-21).
III. WHO MADE YOU A WATCHMAN?
A. The same one who made you an evangelist, or an elder.
B. 2Tim.4:1-5; Heb.13:17.
CONCLUSION:
The Lord's Church Today Needs God's Watchman. Will You Speak Out?
