THE GREAT SALVATION

Heb. 1:1-3; 2:1-3.

INTRO:

Salvation is great because:

1. Sin is so terrible. Rom. 6:23.

2. Grace is so wonderful. Jno. 3:16.

3. The soul is so precious. Matt. 16:26.

I. THE GREAT SALVATION IS:

A. Required of man. Rom. 3:23; Isa. 59:1-21.

B. Provided by God. Eph. 2:8; Titus 2:11-14.

C. Purchased by the blood of Christ. 1 Pet. 1:17-19; Eph. 1:7; Heb. 9:14,22 Rev. 1:5,6; 5:9,10.

D. Supplied as a member of the church. Acts 2:47; Eph. 5:23; 2:16.

E. Received by faith. Gal. 3:26; Heb. 11:6; Rom. 1:16.

F. Obtained at obedience. Rom. 6:1-18.

G. Secured in Christ. 2 Tim. 2:10; Eph. 1:1-14.

H. Retained by stedfastness. Matt. 10:22; 1 Cor. 15:58; Rev. 2:10.

I. Delivered in heaven. Jno. 14:1-3; 1 Pet. 1:3-5.

J. To be enjoyed for eternity. Gal. 6:7,8; Matt. 19:29; 25:46; Rom. 6:22,23.

CONCLUSION:

1. The great salvation is ours for the taking. Phil. 2:12,13; Rev. 22:17.

2. It is a common salvation that will suit every man that will receive it. Matt. 11:28-30; Jude 3.

3.But, TODAY is the day of salvation for you, tomorrow may be too late. Heb. 3:7-4:7.
