<%@LANGUAGE="JAVASCRIPT" CODEPAGE="1252"%> Untitled Document • Reaping What We Sow
• We Will Get What We Deserve

• Introduction
• The biggest problem in today’s world is sin.
• One of the reasons that sin continues is that many are not willing to acknowledge sin.
• Adam blamed the woman that God gave to him for his sin. Genesis 3:12
• Saul blamed the people for rushing upon the spoil. 1 Samuel 15:15
• What we should be doing is confessing sin rather than try to hide it from God or others.
• Nehemiah prayed: “I and my father’s house have sinned” Nehemiah 1:6.
• Daniel prayed on behalf of his people: “we have acted wickedly” Daniel 9:5.
• In the end, every act will be brought to light and we will be judged Ecclesiastes 12:14.

• Who do we blame?
• In today’s world, it seems as if nobody wants to hold anybody accountable, but somebody needs to shoulder the responsibility, and we can stick the blame on anybody or anything, but everybody suffers.
• Recent shootings have brought guns to the forefront of the media and politicians.
• But there is a distinct profound thing they are all missing.
• The moral decline in our society is to blame.

• History repeats itself
• We read in the Old Testament from the prophets writings that Israel was doing what our society is doing today.
• They all recognize that sin is the culprit of our woes, but nobody wants to give up their sinning.
• Our world goes on. Everyone knows what our problem is, but are unwilling to do anything about it.

• We Are Accountable.
• We must face the fact that we will all stand before God at the end of time (or our life).
• We will hear the account of our life which God has written in heaven.
• We will be judged by the things we have done.
• There will be no blaming or pointing of fingers for we will get what we deserve.

• Galatians 6:7-8
• “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh shall from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit shall from the Spirit reap eternal life.”

• Romans 2:5-8
• “But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who will render to every man according to his deeds: to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life; but to those who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and indignation.

• Acts 17:31
• Because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.”

• Romans 14:10-12
• “But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you regard your brother with contempt? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of God. For it is written, “As I Live, Says the LORD, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall give praise to God.” So then each one of us shall give account of himself to God.”

• 2 Corinthians 5:10
• “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.”

• Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
• “The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil.”

• Revelation 20:12-13
• “And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds.”

• Revelation 20:15
• And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.” (the second death—Rev 20:14).
• How can we get our name written in this book?
• By becoming and being a faithful Christian. (Philippians 4:3)

• Conclusion
• What we do in our lives will determine our end.
• We will each stand before God and give an account of our life.
• Best way for a good outcome is to get our name in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
• Obey the gospel call to begin your journey.
