Wait On The Lord
Does not mean to be idle or not doing something.
Does not mean we are waiting for something that will not happen anytime soon, as far as we know.
We sometimes use this word to describe a service; to wait on tables, to wait on a customer. To serve someone.
Why not serve God?

Conclusion
We have hope and an expectation that God will save us.
Our actions should reflect such hope and confidence in God.
Let us resolve to serve the Lord,
To wait on the Lord.
