The One True Church

Are you interested in learning what the one true church actually is? In recent times, the Roman Catholic church proclaimed, from their headquarters in Rome, Italy, that all other faiths are false and the members of those faiths will not be saved. Normally, that would bother a lot of folks, but in our day and age, hardly anyone noticed. There is a general sense of apathy when it comes to determining what God has said concerning His church.

Most people attend the church of their choice. Few will attend the church of God's choice. Why? Because most people do not care to be right, or they have been taught that it does not matter what one believes, teaches, or practices in religion.

Well, my friend, the Bible is God's word and the Bible teaches otherwise. If anyone believes the Bible to be free from error and confusion, and feel that they can trust the God of heaven to give us commandments that will result in our overall good interest, you certainly need to participate in this study.

There are many sincere people who just do not know the difference among the various religions and faiths. I observe, as do many others, that there are many faiths in the world, but the Bible only teaches ONE FAITH. In the hopes that others are interested in the one true faith, and the home of that faith, THE ONE TRUE CHURCH, this study is provided. I do not believe that the Catholic Church is the One True Church today. It may have originated from the roots of the true church, but they have long since lost their identity because they have failed to respect God and His teachings.

So please, pick up your bible and be prepared to make notes and observations. Be prepared to allow God to speak to you and believe that God will not mislead anyone. 2 Peter 3:9 teaches "The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance".

Please always enter Bible Study with a prayer. Ask God to give you guidance and enlightenment. Ask God to reveal His truth, and pray that you will be honest enough in your heart to accept what God says. Pray for wisdom (James 1:5) so that you may be able to distinguish the truth from error and false doctrine. Pray that you will not be decieved (Galatians 6:7) by the craftiness of men, but will place your trust only in God and His word. For some examples of good prayers, read the Psalms. See if you can capture the essense and attitude of the psalmist in your own prayers.

May God bless you as you study His word.

How To Determine The One True Church
