The Truth Is Power
A. Descriptions:
1. The Gospel
a. Romans 1:16 "it is the power of God".
b. Galatians 1:8-9 "we can preach no other gospel than we (Paul and the apostles received and) preached. (Acts 20:27
c. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 DBR (Death, Burial, Resurrection) of Christ according to Scripture.
2. The Word
a. John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word...."
b. John 1:14 "the Word became flesh..."
c. Revelation 22:18,19 The word cannot be added to or taken away
3. The Doctrine
a. 2 Timothy 3:16 "all scripture is inspired of God...".
b. 1 Timothy 1:3 "Teach no other doctrine..."
c. 2 John 9 "must abide in the doctrine of Christ" to have God.,
4. The Truth
a. John 17:17 "...Thy word is Truth"
b. John 4:24 "must worship God in spirit and in truth"
c. Galatians 2:5 "the truth of the gospel".
5. The Power
a. Romans 1:16 "the gospel is the power of God...."
b. Hebrews 4:12 "the word of God is powerful..."
c. Ephesians 2:19 "what is the exceeding greatness of His power to usward who believe".
d. Ephesians 2:17 "the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him".
e. Ephesians 6:10 "be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might".
B. Origination:
1. From God
a. Titus 1:1-2 "the acknowledging of the truth, wich is after godliness; in hope ofg eternal life, wich God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began".
b. Revelation 22:13 "I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last".
c. John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
d. Psalm 117: "the truth of the Lord endureth forever".
e. 1 Peter 1:25 "the word of the Lord endureth forever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you".
C. The Explosive Power Of Truth
1. Given to the whole world
a. Matthew 24:14 "the gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations".
b. Mark 16:15 "go you into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature".
c. 2 Peter 3:9 "the Lord is not willing that any should perish".
d. John 3:16 "for God so loved the world, that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life".
2. Must Be Handled With Care
a. Hebrews 4:12 "the word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword...".
b. 1 Peter 4:11 "If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God...".
c. James 3:13 "Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? Let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom."
d. Deuteronomy 4:4 "Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish aught from it...".
e. John 12:48 "the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day".
3. Truth Has Power To Bring Eternal Damnation (Revelation 20:14)
a. Romans 1:18-32 "for the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness... v32 who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death."
b. John 5:29 "they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation". (Romans 6:23)
c. Romans 2:16 "In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel".
d. Luke 16:19-31 (parable of the rich man and Lazarus) The rich man begged v24 "Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame".
e. Hebrews 10:31 "it is a fearful things to fall into the heads of the living God".
f: Hebrews 12:29 "for our God is a consuming fire".
4. Truth Has Power To Give Everlasing Life (Revelation 7:17)
a. Romans 6:23 "the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord".
b. 1 John 5:20 "and we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is true, and we are in Him that is true, even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life".
c. Ephesians 1:3,4 "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope...v4 To an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you".
d. Matthew 25:46 "the righteous shall inherit eternal life".
e. John 8:32 "the truth shall set you free".
f. Jude 20,21 "Beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life".
g. 2 Timothy 4:7,8 "...a crown of righteousness...".

Origination: from God
The Explosive power: Given to the whole world, must be handled with care, has power to bring eternal damnation, and has power to give eternal life.
Hebrews 6:18 "it is impossible for God to lie.
